I had great pleasure in joining other elected members including the Leader of East Ayrshire Council Councillor Douglas Reid at the Official opening of SL66 in Netherthird yesterday lunchtime.
Councillor Shona Morrison, President of Cosla, East Ayrshire Council CEO Eddie Fraser and Linda McAulay-Griffiths, Chief Education Officer officially opened the 'New' facility.
Following the opening of SL66 we had a tour of the fantastic facilities which we have in Netherthird, including Netherthird Primary School and ECC, Netherthird Community Garden and the brilliant Netherthird Community Centre.
Skills and Learning 66 is an extention of the successful (SL33) in Kilmarnock. The hub is led by the Education Service and is supported by the East Ayrshire Council Employability team and partners including the Department for Work and Pensions - DWP and Skills Development Scotland.
"This 'New' SL66 Hub within our community is absolutely fantastic and I am sure will continue the great work at SL33 in ensuring positive destinations for all those using it's service."
