The Impact of S.T.E.M Education on Local Communities and Schools: A Visit to MaidSafe Foundation's Centre

Writer's picture: Neill WattsNeill Watts

I was delighted to visit the MaidSafe Foundation's centre in Ochiltree, I was also joined by Sharon Dowey MSP and Councillor John McFadzean.

We were all fascinated by the amazing work that Margaret and her Team do to push S.T.E.M activities within our local communities and Schools.

The MaidSafe Foundation has a focus on helping to create opportunities for young and disadvantaged people, enabling them to actively use their talents and potential to benefit their communities and society.

With this in mind they have opened there first Centre in Ochiltree where the community can make use of their free facilities, breaking down any barriers they have to access our services.

It was an absolutely great visit and Councillor John McFadzean and I really enjoyed riding on the Energy Bike as you can see in the two video's. We are so lucky to have this facility here in our community.

You can visit their amazing website and find out about all that they do here: https://maidsafe.foundation/
